Namu
Nichiren Daishonin explains that Namu is a word for dedication. It signifies the commitment of one's life to the Law. This dedication creates a connection to the Buddha nature. It provides the strength to face all challenges. The practitioner becomes one with the eternal Law through this devotion. This act of faith awakens the wisdom inherent in the heart.
The Lotus Sutra states: "We shall do, O Lord, what the Tathâgata commands"

For 700 years, practitioners have begun each morning with this exact rhythm. The words are ancient. The effect is immediate. This is where the practice starts.
Myoho
Myoho refers to the Mystic Law. Nichiren Daishonin teaches that Myo means to open. It reveals the hidden potential in every person. Ho means the phenomena of the world. Life itself is the manifestation of this Law. The Mystic Law governs the universe and the life of the individual. Understanding this truth allows a person to overcome the sufferings of birth and death.
The Lotus Sutra states: "The Buddha-knowledge, Sâriputra, is profound, difficult to understand, difficult to penetrate"

Renge
Renge represents the lotus flower. This flower signifies the simultaneity of cause and effect. Nichiren Daishonin teaches that the cause of practice and the effect of enlightenment occur together. This principle proves that ordinary people can reveal Buddhahood immediately. No time or distance separates a person from the Buddha. The lotus flower grows in muddy water yet remains pure. This symbolizes the ability to remain unaffected by the troubles of the world.
The Lotus Sutra states: "they are not smeared by the world, like the lotus flower in the water"
Lineage
Kamakura
Rooted in the historic seat of Nichiren Daishonin's persecutions and teachings — where the Law was first declared.
Kenzoku
Our core group consists of spiritual kin who preserve the oral traditions of the original Kamakura practitioners.
Nitchō
The lineage flows through a direct connection to Nitchō — one of the six senior disciples who received the mandate from Nichiren Daishonin himself.

Kyo
Kyo means the sutra or the eternal sound. Nichiren Daishonin teaches that this word represents the continuity of life across the three existences. It links the past, the present, and the future. The voice of the person who chants is the voice of the Buddha. This sound carries the Law to all corners of the universe. The practice of chanting is the means to harmonize one's life with the rhythm of the cosmos.
The Lotus Sutra states: "it is many hundreds of thousands of myriads of kotis of aeons since I arrived at supreme, perfect enlightenment"
